Target Audience Neurophysiological monitoring benefits in adult surgical procedures is well known, especially for the spinal pathology. There is little reported about the role of intraoperative monitoring for pediatric neurosurgical cases. The speaker will describe his preference for IONM and benefits in pediatric pathological conditions.
Learning Objectives At the completion of this activity, the participants will:
1. Understand the most common pediatric neurosurgical conditions
2. Determine what is the best for intraoperative monitoring
3. Discuss the need to alert the surgeon in cases
