Target Audience

The presentation is designed for all monitorists to include electrophysiologists from neurophysiologic backgrounds, nurses, electroneurodiagnostic technologists, audiologists, and other practitioners involved with patients where neurophysiologic monitoring is used and who wish to expand their knowledge.

 

Learning Objectives

 At the completion of this activity, the participants will:

1.            Be able to identify what constitutes the Persistently Electrified Pedicle Stimulation Instruments (PEPSI) technique.

2.            Understand that cortical bone density variations can affect the cortical bone’s overall anisotropic electrical resistivity and resultantly the electrical threshold of the stimulated pedicle hole or screw.

3.            Be able to identify what variables impact bi-cortical sacral pedicle screw testing

Method of Participation to Earn CME/CE Credit

There are no fees or pre-requisites for participating in and receiving credit for this online live educational activity. 

 

Participants must:

3.            Complete the evaluation.

4.            Complete the online post-assessment questions and score 70% or higher.

5.            Submit the evaluation and post-assessment to ASNM.

 

Credit will be issued only upon receipt of a post-test with a score of 70% or higher and a completed activity evaluation.  After submitting these forms, you will be able to print out your credit certificate. This activity should take 1 hour to complete
