Troubleshooting
Intraoperative NeurophysiologicMonitoring Data

Whether you're an intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring technologist or supervising neurophysiologist, identifying and resolving technical problems during IONM is a critical function for establishing reliable and interpretable monitoring data as well as preventing false reporting. Human error, equipment or software failure, and many unforeseen events conspire to challenge us every day in the already electrically hostile operating room environment. This presentation is intended to address many common (and some uncommon) technical issues that arise during IONM and strategies to deal with them.
Webinar Presenter
Kent Rice

Kent Rice has over 23 years of experience in the field of intraoperative neuromonitoring. He received his Master's degree in Bioengineering from the University of Michigan in 1991 and joined Biotronic NeuroNetwork in 1992. He has since served on the boards of ASNM and ABNM, been an active participant and presenter for ASNM, and contributed to multiple publications in the field. Kent has a passion for training and education and is responsible for developing and teaching an extensive formal curriculum in intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring that has produced over 500 technologists. One of every 7 CNIM technologists has received training from Kent.
